Even with Chorus, the proper freeweel and chain, Syncro II was only OK but it can get downright nasty trying to get things to work with non-OEM freewheels and chains . Folks, I'm brand new to this forum and the original owner of a white Cannondale I bought way back when in 1988. Also didn't want to spend too much. It's got the 2nd generation Syncro shift lever and the freewheel has been swapped for one with a larger range, so the shifting performance is anybody's guess. The decals more closely match the Black Lightning pictured in Cannondale's 1987 catalog (linked below for reference).
